Since the update on 06/10/2020 the shortcode [affiliate_area_urls], which is the AffiliateWP Referral URL Generator. The issue is that the Campaigns are not working now; they won’t append the campaign to the URL.

I enter the Page URL and name the campaign and what gets generated is just a referral link with no campaign appended to it. There is no “?campaign=twitterjanuary” extension anymore.

I have extensively troubleshot this with AffiliateWP’s tech team. They are now aware that there is an issue with this add-on and the shortcode above.

Obviously, I need both plugins. Please fix the issue and update the plugin.

    See attached screenshots.

    Hi Marty,

Yes, this is strange indeed. Especially since the MLM plugin doesn’t have any code within it that alters the referral links at all.

Did the AffiliateWP Team provide any other info as to how MLM is affecting those referral links? Another question is, does the link generator function normally when access via the Affiliate Area as well, or does this only happen when using that shortcode?

Also, which version of AffiliateWP are you using? And do you have any other AffiliateWP add-ons active, and if so, which ones?

They did not provide any additional info. I use all of the Affiliate Area shortcodes (https://affiliatewp.com/add-ons/official-free/affiliate-area-shortcodes/). It works fine on regular [affiliate_area] shortcode, just not [affiliate_area_urls]. The individual shortcodes run using the AffiliateWP Affiliate Area Shortcodes plugin, so my guess is that the conflict is with that plugin (but, I’m not a developer, so just a guess.)

    AffiliateWP Version 2.5.4
AffiliateWP – Affiliate Area Shortcodes Version 1.1.7
AffiliateWP – Affiliate Info Version 1.0.5
    AffiliateWP – Leaderboard Version 1.0.2
AffiliateWP – Lifetime Commissions Version 1.4.3
    AffiliateWP MLM Version 1.1.5

I can create a user login for you, if you need to take a look at it all. Let me know if you need additional info.

    Okay Marty,

I’m going to see if I can replicate the issue in my testing environment first, and then I’ll follow up with you with a solution.

    Hi Marty,

I tested this using all of the same plugin versions, but I was unable to replicate this issue myself. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins except for AffiliateWP, MLM, and Affiliate Area Shortcodes? This sounds like it could be some other plugin causing the conflict.
