Hi, I am a tad confused by this setting:

    MLM & Lifetime Commissions

What does the 3 options for Sync Lifetime Affiliate mean
    1. Disabled
    2. Lifetime affiliate as referrer
    3. Parent as lifetime affiliate
    4. Referre as lifetime affiliate

I have 1.allow own referrals, 2.lifetime commissions & 3.MLM plugins installed and can’t seem to get the sub-affiliates to earn their own referrals. Parent also not earning level 1 commission.

    Hi there,

And sorry for the delayed response, we’ve been much busier than normal around here lately.

Lifetime as Referrer means that the Lifetime Affiliate will be set as the Parent & Direct Affiliate.
Parent as Lifetime means that the Parent Affiliate will be set as the Lifetime Affiliate.
Referrer as Lifetime means that the Direct Affiliate will be set as the Lifetime Affiliate.

It sounds like you need to enable the new Force Default Referral feature in the settings. This will ensure that when one of the Sub Affiliates makes a purchase using their own referral link, their Parent Affiliate will receive the Direct Referral Commission, and their Upline Parent Affiliates will receive the Indirect Referral Commissions according to your settings.

I recommend that you use Parent as Lifetime Affiliate, especially id you are using a Forced Matrix (Fixed Width) structure. This will allow for proper Lifetime Affiliate tracking when Spillover occurs.

So this is what I need:

    1. affiliate A earns 20% on all his own sales + his own customers sales
    2. if affiliate A’s customer become affiliate B – affiliate A earns 5% of affiliate B’s own sales + B’s customers’ sales

Basically that’s it. Sounds simple but I couldn’t get it to work before. I have implemented some of your suggestions and now my settings are attached as screenshots.

    Is this correct?

Yes, your MLM and Lifetime Commissions settings are correct. The only thing that I would recommend changing is the Total Depth setting in the MLM tab. Total Depth will ensure that there is only 1 Level of Sub Affiliates for the Overall Matrix/Structure. Since your Depth is set to 1, this means that if a Sub Affiliate (On Level 1) refers another affiliate, they will not be connected to them, because they are not allowed to have Sub Affiliates.

By disabling Total Depth, you will give every affiliate the ability to refer Sub Affiliates below them.

Also, the 20% Direct Referral Commission Rate should be set in Affiliates > Settings > General.

I looked at the second batch of screenshots of your settings that you posted, and this explains why it’s not working normally. You changed the Depth to 0. MLM will not function properly unless you have the Depth set to at least 1. As I explained earlier, this is what allows each Parent Affiliate to have 1 Level of Sub Affiliates below them. And this is how the system determines how to generate the Indirect Commissions for the Parent, when the Sub Affiliate refers a sale.
