    Hi Steve,

Can you provide me with an idea of what your Rates Settings are in the General Tab and the MLM Tab (Screenshots maybe)?

Also, what version of AffiliateWP and MLM are you currently using? And do you have any other AffiliateWP add-ons active? Another question is, which currency are you using?

In the general affiliatewp it has 10%
in the MLM tab it HAD level 1 5%
in level 2 it HAD 2%
now it has 0% in both level 1 and 2 as I’ve already got two affiliates asking for their $100’s lol
site is in AU Australian $

I’ll provide screenshots of plugins with version numbers

Alright, after reviewing all of your AffiliateWP settings, everything appears to be normal except for your Per-Level Rates. You said it was setup like so before:

    Level 1 = 5%
    Level 2 = 2%

Did you have the “%” symbol there, like you do now? This could have caused the problem, you only need to enter in the number, and then you set the Rate Type for Indirect Referrals (Flat or Percentage) right above the Per-Level Rates field. Currently, you have it set to the Site Default (Percentage).

Also, I noticed that you have 5 Extra Branches setup in your Matrix/Structure settings. Did you intend to do this? I see that you also have 3 Cycles enabled, so it may be best to leave Extra Branches empty, so that each Cycle will only consist of the 15 Wide by 2 Deep Matrix.

Regarding the error in the Indirect Commission calculations, it looks like it was somehow rounded to the wrong number of decimal places. I know that you’re using a different currency (AUD), but I also know that it uses the same number of decimal places as the USD does (2). So that shouldn’t be causing the problem.

I’m going to run some tests on my end to see if I can duplicate this error. What you can do in the meantime, is remove the “%” symbols from the Per-Level Rates settings, add your original rates (5 and 2), perform a test referral purchase using one of the Sub Affiliate’s links, and see if the commission rates are calculated normally.

I’ll follow up again soon after I investigate further on my end. And sorry for the inconvenience, we’re going to get this working ASAP.

Did you have the “%” symbol there = yes, didn’t realise it just had to be the number.
Now have Rate Type set to Percentage
have set Extra Branches to 0
3 Cycles I don’t really know what this does and no explanation in knowledgebase http://propluginmarketplace.com/knowledgebase/docs/configuring-affiliatewp-mlm-settings/
    decimal places is only 2
    will give it a test.

    Thanks heaps 🙂

also can those few indirect referral amounts be edited to show correct amounts?
this Q may be worth a new support post as well

The Cycles setting is a relatively new feature for MLM. Basically, in the case of a Forced Matrix (3 Wide by 5 Deep for example), once the affiliate fills all 5 Levels of their Downline, they will have completed 1 Cycle. When you increase the number of Cycles, you increase the number of times that the affiliate can build a Downline of 3 x 5. So with your current settings, each affiliate will be able to have 3 Matrices of 3 x 5.

Regarding adjusting the Indirect Referral amounts, yes, as an admin you have the ability to edit the referral commissions and manually adjust the amount to reflect the correct amount. To do this, you simply navigate to Affiliates > Referrals and click the Edit button on the right of the Referral Commission that you want to edit. From there, you can change the amount and save.

    Hi Steve,

I’m still in the process of running my own tests on this. Did you get a chance to test this on your site, after making those changes in the settings?

Hi Christian, yes the new settings are working fine now so definitely was the % symbol causing it, and thanks for the pointers on how to fix the earlier ones that’s all done now to.
    Thanks again for your help.
