    Hi!
I’m wondering if I cloud set the following up with the AffiliateWP MLM Plugin:

    That’s the hierarchy:

    Affiliate A
    |
    Affiliate B
    |
    Affilate C

(Affiliate B was referred by Affiliate A, Affiliate C was referred by Affiliate B)

    Scenario 1:
Affiliate A sells a product and gets a commission of 30%.
Affiliate B and C get nothing.

    Scenario 2:
Affiliate B sells a product and gets a commission of 20%.
Affiliate A is above B in the hierarchy, so he gets 10%.
    Affiliate C gets nothing.

    Scenario 3:
Affiliate C sells a product and gets a commission of 10%.
Affiliate B is above C in the hierarchy and gets 10%.
Affiliate A is above B and gets also 10%.

As you can see, in every scenario the commission sums up to a total of 30%.

Can you give me tutorial on how to set this up?
    Thank you very much!

    Have a nice day!

    Hi there,

If you want to ensure that your Maximum Total Payout doesn’t exceed 30%, you would have to set the Direct Referral Rate (The commission rate when the affiliate refers a sale directly) to 20% in Affiliates > Settings > General, and your Indirect Referral Rate (The commissions rate when one of their Sub Affiliate’s refers a sale) to 10% in Affiliates > Settings > MLM.

It is possible to ensure that only a certain type of affiliate can earn 30% on Direct Referrals, but this would change the Max Total Payout to 40%. With some custom coding, it would be possible to dynamically change the Direct and Indirect Commission Rate based the Max Payout Amount you set, and the number of Levels of commissions to be paid out on that particular sale. We do offer custom development services, if this is a feature that you need right away.

Beyond that, please take a look at the AffiliateWP MLM Documentation, as it provides much more detailed instructions on how to setup the settings.
