    Hi Christian,

I hope it’s OK to post this here. I would imagine other folks are looking for the same info so maybe it will benefit them if I make the post in your forum.

Basically, I want to sell various courses and have different referral tiers for each course.

    For example:

    Product A
    0-5 sales = 10% commission
    6-10 sales = 15% commission
    11-15 sales = 20% commission

    Product B
    0-5 sales = 10% commission
    6-10 sales = 20% commission
    11-15 sales = 30% commission

Once an affiliate has passed the referral threshold they’re automatically moved to the next tier; to be reset at the first of the month.

We can’t use universal tiers – which is the default with AffiliateWP’s referral Tiers plugin – because each product’s referral tiers increase in different proportions. If they all increased by the same percentage then a universal rate might work, but in this use case it doesn’t unfortunately.

I spoke with AffiliateWP and they said this isn’t possible out of the box. Then I came across your performance bonuses and Ranks plugins and thought it might be possible in conjunction with WooCommerce or EDD.

We’re using LifterLMS as the content delivery, and were planning on using it as the cart as well but we can just as easily use WooCommerce or EDD if it means we can set distinct referral tiers for our affiliates on a per product basis.

Is this possible with one, or a combination of your plugins (and perhaps some other plugins)?

    Thanks!
    Vic

    Hey Vic,

Sorry for the delay, we’ve been rather busy around here lately due to all of the new updates.

Please allow me to answer your question below:

Our Performance Bonuses add-on does work alongside our Ranks add-on to allow you to control the Affiliate’s commission rate based on their performance. However, the Ranks plugin does not currently have the ability to allow each affiliate to have more than one Rank at the same time, which is what you would need to create a set of Ranks for each Product, and make this work on a Per-Product basis.

There is currently nothing out there for AffiliateWP that will enable you to do this right out of the box, but it could definitely be developed as a custom solution for the WooCommerce integration. I would implement this so that you could setup your commission tiers on a Per-Product basis using the Add/Edit Product screen in WooCommerce. The information for the requirements of each product’s commission tiers would be stored within the product meta data, and the plugin would simply check to see if the affiliate meets the requirements when a customer purchases that product, and adjust the commission rate accordingly.

We do offer custom development services if this is something that you need to have built for your site.

    Thanks Christian!

Custom development sounds like a probable option. 🙂 How can I get in touch with you to discuss further?

Or perhaps you’d like to contact me directly? victor.dorfman(at)gmail.com

    Thanks. 🙂

    Hi Christian,

Didn’t want to post here but it’s been ~3 weeks since your last reply to me via email and I’ve followed up several times in the interim.

You confirmed in that first exchange that you’d be interested in potentially working together and then you left me hanging for several weeks now.

Excepting the case of a force majeur, I believe basic respect would warrant at least a reply to tell me you’re too busy to take it on at the moment.

Otherwise, and with all due deference, it makes you look rather unprofessional and makes me look bad to my partners as well. No bueno!

Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you soon! 🙂

    Best,
    Vic
