    Hello ,
I have filled all the details regarding of indirect referral commission, but its not working as per level, means if any sub affiliate registered through referral url than parent does not receive commission as per defined in level. There are total 4 levels but Per Level Rate section not working. I have attached the screenshot below if you want than i can provide you admin details also.

    Hey Scott,

Based on your screenshot of your MLM settings, you don’t have Indirect Referrals enabled. You have to enable one of the integrations in order to track indirect referral commissions for sales generated via WooCommerce, Paid Memberships Pro, etc. It will work as soon as you enable one of those integrations on the list.

Also, if you want every affiliate to have the ability to refer 4 Levels of Sub Affiliates below them (and earn commissions on those 4 levels), you should disable the Total Depth setting.

Let me know how it works for you, once you’ve made these adjustments.

    Hey Christian,

Now if i add any new referral without registering them, then i receive 100 and my parent should receive $25 and his parent receive $15 and so on but now this scenario not working i am using the gravity form and contact form for adding new referral, but both are not adding referrals, please help me to resolve this issue.

But if any new affiliate register through affiliate referral url than in that case its working fine.

    Hi Scott,

I just want to clarify what exactly you mean.

Are you saying that the Indirect Referral Commissions are working when a new affiliate registers using another affiliate’s referral link? And if so, how are they registering? Is it via the Affiliate Registration Form, or automatically during checkout?

When you say “Now if i add any new referral without registering them”, do you mean that you are filling out the Gravity Form without clicking an affiliate link first? And are you saying that it just doesn’t create the Indirect Referral in this case, when the person filling out the form doesn’t become an affiliate?

Also, Contact Form 7 is not currently on the list of supported integrations for MLM, so you can’t create Indirect Referrals with that particular plugin.

    Hello Christian,

    a) Is it via the Affiliate Registration Form, or automatically during checkout?
Reply: It is through gravity form , i used gravity form for registration and that is working fine.

    b) Do you mean that you are filling out the Gravity Form without clicking an affiliate link first?
Reply: Yes for adding customer i used gravity form but when i add customer or referral than MLM price level not working. Basically i created two form one for registration through which user registered by using another affiliate’s referral link and in this case MLM price levels working fine and second form is used for adding referrals without registering them in this case MLM price level not working.

When a affiliate refers a customer and that customers referral is accepted they make $100, but the person who brought that affiliate to the program also makes $25, then the affiliate that brought that rep makes $15, then down the levels. $10 then $5.

When you add a customer Referral and the customer referral Is accepted you get $100 and the next 4 people who brought you to the program get paid.

    Hi Scott,

From your screenshots, I noticed that your Affiliate Registration Form has the “Allow Referrals” setting set to “Sale”. What happens when you change the “Allow Referrals” setting in your Add Customer Info Gravity Form to “Sale”? Please test this after changing this to Sale mode, and let me know how it works. I think this will fix it.

    Hi Scott,

There can’t be anything wrong with the Gravity Forms integration for MLM, if Indirect Referrals are working for the Affiliate Registration Form. Somewhow, it’s just not working for the Add Customer Info form, correct?

It would be best if you could provide me with admin-level login credentials for your site. Then, I can investigate further.

Hi Scott, sorry for the delay.

I reviewed your site, and I can see that the Add Customer Info form is generating the Indirect Commissions. IF you view the Referrals section of the AffiliateWP Admin (Affiliates > Referrals), you’ll see commissions for all 4 Levels for Gracity Form Entry #113.

There’s a Direct Commission of $100, an Indirect Commission (Level 1) of $25, an Indirect Commission (Level 2) of $15, an Indirect Commission (Level 3) of $10 and, an Indirect Commission (Level 4) of $5.

This seems to be working properly unless I’m misunderstanding what you are saying the issue is.

    Hi Scott,

I know that you submitted those entries yourself. What I’m saying is, those entries that you submitted on the Customer Info Form generated the Indirect Commissions for all 4 Levels. So this is working as it is supposed to. Unless you are expecting it to work in a different way than what I explained above?

One thing that you may be confused about, is the direction in which the commissions are paid. The Indirect Commissions are paid to the Upline (Parent Affiliates) above the affiliate that directly referred the sale. So, if I’m an affiliate and I refer a sale, my Parent Affiliate will receive the Level 1 commission rate, and if there is no other Parent above them, there are no other commissions to create.

    Hi Christian,

Yes you are correct but the referrals are not added through add customer info gravity form thats the issue. Do you check it the admin details that i send you.

    Hey Scott,

When you say “The referrals are not added through add customer info gravity form”, are you speaking of the referral commissions, or are you speaking of Sub Affiliates?

Meaning, when you submit the customer’s info in to the Customer Info Form, it’s not connecting the customer to the referring affiliate as a Sub Affiliate. Is that what you mean?

    Hi Scott,

I logged into your site again, and from the Referrals screen in the AffiliateWP admin, I can see 2 more submissions of the Add Customer Info Form that successfully generated both a Direct Commission and an Indirect Commission (Both of these were submitted on February 21st).

Form Entry #221 generated a Direct Referral Commission of $25 (Referral ID 338) for the affiliate “test0002” (The Sub Affiliate), and it created an Indirect Referral Commission of $15 (Referral ID 339) for the affiliate “test0001” (The Parent Affiliate).

When I checked test0001 via the Edit Affiliate screen (Affiliates > Edit), it shows that test0001 doesn’t have a Parent Affiliate, which is why there are no other Indirect Referral Commissions to be generated for levels above them.

So, these commissions are listed in the referrals admin section, and the Indirect Referrals are working. I did notice that they are in the Pending status, which means that you have to Accept them, to change them to the Unpaid status (Ready for Payout). Pending referrals don’t appear on the front-end in the Affiliate Area, only referrals that are Unpaid, Paid, or Rejected appear there.

Okay, now I understand what you mean. The Direct Referral Commission is going to the wrong affiliate.

I see what happened here. Because you last used Test Child 3’s referral link to register Test Child 4, it was still tracking Test Child 3 as the referring affiliate when you submitted the form as Test Child 4. You have to use the referral link of Test Child 4 when filling out the form, in order for the core AffiliateWP plugin to recognize Test Child 4 as the affiliate that referred the form submission.

So in other words, it doesn’t matter if you are logged in as Test Child 4 when you submit the customer info form, you need to have clicked the referral link for Test Child 4, in order for AffiliateWP to track the Direct Referral Commission. Then, MLM generates the Indirect Referral Commissions for the Upline Parent Affiliates based on the Direct Commission that was created.

So, when you test this after clicking on Test Child 4’s referral link, you’ll see it working. Also, as a rule of thumb, it’s good to use Incognito Mode, or something similar in your browser with cleared cache and cookies, to test the referrals. this ensures that you are starting with a fresh test with no affiliates being tracked until you click their link.

    Does that make sense?
