I’m trying to setup this structure using woocommerce and WP affiliate.

    Affiliate Program
Subscription purchase required to become an affiliate, and ensure that their subscription is valid in order to receive commissions.
    Affiliate Level 0 – 10%
    Affiliate Level 1 – 5%
    Affiliate Level 2 – 5%

Affiliates who surpass specific goal (based on earnings/# of referrals) will increase ‘rank’ and receive either; a) performance bonus.

How do I set up my registration form to require them to make a subscription at the same time as registering as an affiliate?

Or from the other side once they make a purchase of a subscription, how can I then offer them to become an affiliate?

    Hi there,

Sorry for the delay, I didn’t get the notification for your post.

After reviewing the error, it looks like the issue is related to the sync feature with MLM and Lifetime Commissions. Do you have the Lifetime Commission add-on active on your site? And if so, what version?

If you want to require them to purchase a Product/Subscription in order to become an affiliate, you need to use our Affiliate Sign Up Products add-on. This works with WooCommerce, allowing you to automatically register the customer as an affiliate once they buy that particular product. You simply enable it in the Add/Edit Product screen of WooCommerce. You’ll see the settings listed there within the AffiliateWP Sign Up Products Tab.

If you want them to purchase a subscription first, you need to disable the ability to register on the Affiliate Registration Form, since purchasing the product/subscription will make them an affiliate.

Then, you will want to enable the Sync Affiliate Status setting, to ensure that they must maintain an Active subscription in order to remain an Active Affiliate. This is found in the Sign UP Products tab of the AffiliateWP Settings.

An Indirect Referral is a referral commission that the Parent Affiliate earns when one of their Sub Affiliates refers a sale.

Please review the Performance Bonuses and Ranks documentation for step-by-step instructions on how to setup your Ranks.

    Hi Christian,

    Thanks for your reply
I’m going for a simpler build and I wont force the affiliate to have a subscription in order to earn money. I will instead just let them sign up the standard way, and then offer customers the same post sale.

I have disabled ‘Affiliate Sign Up Product add-on’

I just want Affiliates under MLM program, lifetime commssions.

I’m still getting the following error message with affiliate registrations.
(Please see my attached word document where I screenshot error message, and all important settings, just incase I have missed something)

Thanks very much for your asssistance!

Alright, after reviewing your document, all of your settings look fine except for the following:

    1) Integrations Tab – For the MLM & Lifetime Commissions Sync Lifetime Affiliate setting, I recommend using the “Parent as Lifetime Affiliate” option. This will ensure that the affiliate that registers is connected to the Parent, and that Parent will become their Lifetime Affiliate as well.

    2) MLM Tab – You should disable the Sub Affiliate Referrals setting if you don’t want to award a commission every time an affiliate refers a new Sub Affiliate.

    3) MLM Tab – If you want to award commissions on 2 Sub Affiliate Levels, you have to set the Depth to 2. This will allow each Parent Affiliate to have 2 Levels of Subs below them. And set Cycles to 1 (The Default).

Regarding the error message, I’m investigating this now. I will have a solution ready soon.

I’m glad to hear things are working smoothly now.

What about the error message during Affiliate Registration? Are you no longer seeing that message appear?
