    Hello. We use:

    AffiliateWP Require Referral
    Deactivate
Require an Affiliate Referral in order to Checkout

Version 1.0 | By Christian Freeman

I tried the “no ref” test tonight. I got an Internal server error when I submitted my checkout info (including my credit card).

I don’t know if that error is related to the presence of the ProPluginMarketplace ref plugin, or to the lack of affiliate ref value in the session, or to something else entirely.

In any case, even though I got an Internal Server error the order was still processed and my card charged.
So the ref plugin currently active it does not work.

Please let us know how this supposed to work. We use pretty links for referrals. Is that a problem?

    Thanks!

    SC

    Hi there,

Can you please provide me with admin level login credentials so that I can test this on your site and investigate further?

And be sure to set your response as a private reply.

Alright, after logging in and performing some test purchases via PayPal and a 100% off coupon, I see that the error message isn’t preventing the non-referred customer from completing the checkout form.

I updated the plugin and re-installed it on your site, but there is a 500 Internal Server Error now.

Can you please provide me with FTP Access Logins so that I can deactivate the plugin and troubleshoot further?

    Thanks

    Yes, it’s fine now.

I think the 500 error was unrelated to the plugin install.

I’m still running tests now to find out why the error message isn’t displaying and preventing the checkout process from completing. I’ll follow up again soon with an update and a fix for this.

    Okay understood.

I’ll be sure to disable it after each testing session.
